Little River Windsors

A former co-worker contacted me to make two table leaves for their dining room set. When I went to go look at the table, I saw one chair of the set in his fire wood pile. He said he tried to glue it but gave up after it continued to break. Typical of chairs of this type, the joints were simply glued and screwed. I had to cut off the broken ends of the bow in order to taper those ends so they would go through the seat, then glued and wedged. I also drilled the spindle holes through the bow to strengthen  the joints, being careful to maintain the angle, but also to compensate for the shorter bow dimensions. Glued and wedged all of the joints, and touched up the black with some General Finishes Black Stain.
