Ralph Quick left a comment for Rick LasitaThis display chest was commissioned by a friend of my wife who wanted something to protect and display her keepsake quilts. She chose red oak and I finished it in General Finishes Shaker Maple and three coats of the GF Enduro waterbed urethane. If you haven't tried this finish yet, I can highly recommend this top coat. We just returned from doing the Williamsburg, VA. show and I was not sure I was going to make it back because my health went to hell so to speak. When we did return home last Sunday, I was having a lot of trouble getting enough oxygen.
I ended up going to the hospital Monday night and was transported down to De Paul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. I've been poked and proded so much this past week that it isn't funny. Hopefully I may be getting to go home tomorrow. n
With my luck, I'll get run over by some "Lead-Foot" once I walk out to get in the Van. Ha! Ha!
Later, Ralph
